Tools of the Trade

Hey everyone. I spent most of the day in the basement working with paint and stencils. As you know I like my tools and one of these is my apron. I will be packing my journal bag and other tools and heading to Rockford this weekend. I will be attending a stamp show with friends. Some of my favorite vendors will be there. If you're interested in what my bag and apron look like here are the links. I also have my own paint shirt. Here are some of the aprons I created today. I have one more to do yet. I also spent some time working on my journal in the documented life project. I will put that in another post. So I shot a little video of the process just so you can see what goes into this. I didn't really have a notion about what direction I was going when I started. It was more about the play today.

So if you are always getting paint on your clothes, you may want an apron of your own for protection. Thanks for dropping by. ttfn

Grand Opening Tomorrow

Hi everyone,
I've been in the craft room pulling things together for the demo at Scrapmania tomorrow. Stop out and see us. It will be a lot of fun. I will be working with the new magnetic platform from Sizzix. I have to say I love mine. Stacy just got a shipment into the store and I couldn't wait for Saturday to get mine. I took it home and put it to use right away. What a slick tool. While I have the Vagabond out I will pull out the embossing folders. I'm also loving the Viva Inka Gold products. This is a wax metallic past that is so lovely. Here are some pictures of samples for tomorrow. Hope to see you then. The pictures don't do the metallic finish justice.

Color Me Happy

I had a wonderful surprise this morning. I found a package from Sizzix in my mailbox. Sizzix is sponsoring a give away so hurry on over and sign up if you own a Vagabond. Thank you Sizzix.

A Good Find

As promised, I went in search of supplies this afternoon. Found my paint dabber, but had a pleasant surprise in Hobby Lobby. I was looking to see if they carried the blanks from Vintaj and to my astonishment found not one but two embossing folders. I did a little dance in the isle and hurried to the checkout with my prize and a coupon. I went to three stores and was able to use a coupon in each. yippee.

I hope the picture is clear enough for you to see the texture I was able to get on these blanks using the Sizzix folders for Vintaj. I also found some of Tim's Idea-ology product line. what a great day.

QuicKutz is at it again

Look what QuicKutz will have to offer next month. I have been watching Making Memories for the last year waiting for the release of the slice.

I love tools and there are many options. Let me know your pick.

Serendipity stamps and punches

These stamps are great!
You can buy punches to match the shape of the stamp.
