Holiday Preparation

Hello friends,
One of my all-time favorite stamp companys is Stampers Anonymous. Among their collections are Tim Holtz's goodies. Today I finally finished Christmas cards and mailed them out so I thought I'd show you a few featuring some of these stamps. I used the Christmas blueprints collection. I hope you enjoy them. They were fun to make. I stamped the images on watercolor paper.

I colored the images using the Distress Pens and a watercolor brush. I tore the edge and sponged on distress ink. I used white pigment ink and a snowflake stamp on the background of the Judikins card base.

The toy soldier background is done with the Holly stamp using Pumice Stone ink on a grey/blue Judikins card. I die-cut and layered the Harlequin strip cut from some of Tim's papers.

Tim also offers great embellishments. I love the Tinsel. It comes in several colors. as does the glitter.

If you love Tim and all the Tinsel and such you may want to join the challenge over at Studio L3.
The lovely and generous Joy and her family at Inspiration Emporium sponsor all our odd-numbered challenges and you may be a winner.

And one last picture of a wreath I made using the Scan NCut. I love how I can cut so many snowflakes at once. Hope Santa is good to you.

Hope you are enjoying the season with friends and family.  ttfn

One Of Kind weekend

Hello everyone,
The weather witch was watching out for me this weekend. We arrived in Madison Thursday just before a snowy icy morning that was holding up traffic. Then we came home Sunday on a bright sunny day. This morning we awoke to more snow and delays. I missed the traffic mess both ways. So anyway, I want to thank Chris and her crew for another wonderful experience. We had a great time. I got to see my favorites at Stampers Anonymous. Tim, Ted, Mario and company were wowing the crowd. I am sure everyone was impressed with all the information that was shared. And how could you not be impressed with lord Tim?

I counted all the cards and projects I did over the weekend and I come up with an amazing total of (drum roll please) 40. WOW!!!
That is in two and a half days with shopping thrown in on top of that.
I will need to do another video on the haul.
Anyway there would be way too many photos, so I did a quick video to show you what I did there.

I hope you enjoy seeing the projects. There were so many more to do and choose from, but I simply ran out of time.
I hope you all had a good weekend too.

November Tag 2013 - Chalkboard Holiday cards

Good morning everyone,
I hope you're all doing well on this cold and soon to be snowy Monday morning. Today I am working on the November tag challenge that Tim Holtz does each month. If you'd like to know more about it you can check out his blog here. This month features a chalk technique Tim showed us in CC102 class. If you want to take some wonderful classes, I can tell you Tim will give you what you are looking for. So, I did start with the black tag as Tim had done and I do like that effect.  The chalk works differently on the smooth surface of the tag versus a paper with tooth. Then I started thinking about other colors for the holidays. I found some green linen and blue paper, some specialty paper, and some of Tim's papers I've been hoarding since last Christmas. So here are all the photos so that you can see the dimension and what chalk does on the different surfaces.
The Christmas Holidays tag on the green card is done on a smooth coated black tag. The green paper is linen and the blue is spectra.
I love how the linen texture picks up the chalk in the pictured above cards. The green paper looks like the old green chalk boards we had when I was young.
The above cards are on navy blue cardstock. Sorry my photos don't show the color better.
I love the papers from Tim's Christmas stack. I just layered them up on the card for a background.

Tim paired up with Stampers Anonymous and Sizzix to make some awesome stamps that have matching dies. These trees are so easy to stamp and cut with one of these sets.

Hope you have a wonderful day and remember to check out Tim's tag and classes.

Insider Pop-up

Hello everyone,
It has been a busy day. Yes I'm still packing for the rummage sale. In between that and laundry I have done three posts today. This is the third and final. Online card classes started the insider class today. So this is my homework. I hope you enjoy it.

Can't wait to see what we do tomorrow.
