It's hard to believe that we are coming to the end of week three already. I have a few class samples to show you and a little project I did with my friend Molly. The Hiawatha library has a grant and does an art project each month for the community. But first let me show you the cards from class.
These were for one of the color challenges. I was having a problem with this combination but Jennifer showed me a way to use it in a simple way.
The combo had two brown, two purple, blue and white. How did I do?
I tried these using some embossing powder I got from P K Glitz. I really loved doing these. They have a simple yet elegant style.
This is the project I made at the library.
We used the covers from dilapidated books. The covers were fitted with wood pieces to make them into a box shape with an open top.
I decided I can use mine for storage or just to collect scraps. Not everyone has an elegant scrap bin.
I was trying out some new pigment inks and the Viva Inka Gold.
Below is a view from the top showing storage.
I hope you have a crafty weekend planned. I am going to play with my buddies tomorrow and get inky. ttfn
