Art Journal

I have been inspired by Dyan Reaveley's art journals and have been wanting to create my own. I started with a good weight watercolor paper to build my book. The front is carved chipboard covered with crumpled paper.
The booklets are stitched to the spine that is done from leather.

Coloration on the surface is metallic ink and Rub and Buff. Now I am ready to start creating with my new inks and stamps. I will enjoy working in my own creation.
So one of my chemist friends wanted to know more about how to create one of these so here is a short video...

Beautiful art journal cover. Love the textures you achieved with the crumpled paper. I also love the stitched binding. Very cool! Thanks for joining us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy

I have started to slowly build up my Dyan Reaveley supplies and just can't find a Art Journal in ZA, so I've also decided to make my own with watercolour or multi media paper. I love what you've done with yours and good luck!

Great cover, love how you crumbled the paper. I am not familiar with Dyan Reaveley but will Google him.
