Compendium of Curiosities II, Challenge 4

Compendium of Curiosities 2, Challenge 4!

Technique 4: Faded Layers

A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 2, Page 43 By Tim Holtz

Friday is here and that means another challenge from our talented friend Linda. Last weeks ah..mazing art created by everyone "Marbled Stains" was fantastic. It was great to see so many people up for the challenge, and equally awesome to see some new artists. This is so much fun and very inspiring!

This week, we're on page 43 of A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 2, doing Tim Holtz's Faded Layers technique. If you don't already ownthe book, you can order an autographed copy from Tim.
How to Play Along At Home:

To participate in CC2C #4, simply create your own work of art using the Faded Layers technique on page 43 and link it to Linda's Studio L3 blog using the InLinkz button. You're alright as long as you honor these simple rules:

Follow the technique as it's written in A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol. 2 (adding your own special flair, of course!), and clearly state that the technique comes from Tim's book.

Include a link to Linda's blog in your blog post (or photo description if you're linking from an online photo-sharing site).

Out of respect to Tim, please don't post the technique instructions on your blog! Any entries that don't follow this rule will be unlinked.

All that said...
...this is my submission for this week's challenge. I am also submitting this to Simon Says Stamp Challenge and Frilly and Funkie Challenge. This is one of my favorite techniques...easy but a lot of bang for the time and effort. Now go get inky! I want to see what you are making.

Your muted colors and masking that you did on your background look fantastic! I love the colors you blended together. The mask really pops! Thank you so much for joining us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy
